About Our Farm
Pasture Raised Sheep and Primitive Skills
Flood Creek Farm is a small family run farm in Southern Maryland. The farm consists of approximately 25 acres of pasture, woods and wetlands. There are two re-purposed tobacco barns and a modern metal barn for sheep handling. The sheep pastures are subdivided for intensive grazing practices with remote heated automatic waterers.
Flood Creek runs through the property and out to the Potomac River. An earthen dam provides a 4 acre pond that attracts a diverse wildlife population. Whitetail deer, ospreys, bald eagles, beavers, otters and muskrats are regular visitors. The pond is home to bluegill, catfish and a wide range of turtle species.
Down stream from the pond the Creek turns tidal and brackish. Blue crabs and yellow perch are regularly harvested from the dock and ospreys can be seen diving on their prey.
At Flood Creek Farm we feel incredibly lucky that we get to do what we love in such a beautiful setting. We’d love for you to take part in the Flood Creek Farm experience. For more information, get in touch!
